Have you ever wondered how much it costs to buy
the world’s most expensive SUV and what such a car looks like? IAT, the car
manufacturer from China, has recently revealed that they are creating a new
luxury limited-edition off-roader called the Karlmann King that comes with a
whopping price tag of $2.1 million. For that price, you may be wondering what
makes this car stand out from its competitors to make it worth this money.
Photos of the vehicle have been released and it has been described as looking
like Batman’s Batmobile in terms of both its external appearance and its
internal features.
Let’s start with its exterior. Its bodywork is
based on that of the Ford F-550 pickup truck. It has an angular shape like a
polygon and looks almost as though it has been created through a
computer-generated image. It is available with a bulletproof exterior and
blacked out windows for an additional fee. Under its bonnet, this four-wheel
drive vehicle boasts a 6.8-liter V-10 engine and has an automatic six-speed
gearbox. Although it is powerful, speed is not its forte, This is due to its
size as it weighs a whopping 4,500 kilograms and this means it can only achieve
a top speed of 87 miles per hour.
The car’s interior of is something else
altogether and is not dissimilar to looking inside a spaceship. It is filled
with LED lights to replicate a night sky and has been directly compared to the
Rolls-Royce Phantom’s interior. Standard features of this car include a coffee
maker and a PlayStation 4. An unnamed custom vehicle manufacturer in Europe is
creating these cars for IAT and only nine are being produced. Therefore, if you
want a top-of-the-range SUV and have a spare $2 million to spend, then you will
have to get your name down quick to have The pleasure of owning a Karlmann
King.
